Daku

The fog was thick when I approached the water hole. I could sense other males around. But I could also smell the female Zigur had been chasing through the forest. I did not understand why he would want to be near a female. They were cruel, nasty, and ill-tempered. I was glad to be kicked from my Clan. I never wanted to be a rejected male, but I had been for almost ten years and I would never want to go back to my old Clan. Life was much better as a outcast.

She helped build the hut. She is not like other females.” Zigur seemed to be trying to convince me what I did not need to be convinced of. I knew she was different. But she was still a female. I didn’t wish to be near her. I looked at Apak. He wore the signs of a females touch on his body. Where his queen stripped him of his tails. He could never truly bond without them, but he seemed to be here. As if he to was waiting, to see if he will be chosen as a mate.
